MUNCIE, IN— Northwest Bank is partnering with local community organizations to help individuals and families recovering from recent, historic flooding across East Central Indiana. Now through September 30, select Northwest Bank financial centers will serve as collection sites for donations of essential items to support local relief efforts.
Donations collected through the drive will benefit Reach Yorktown , Ross Community Center and The Panther Pantry , organizations that are providing critical assistance to residents impacted by the flooding.
Requested donations include:
• Toiletry and personal care items
• New or gently used clothing
• Nonperishable food items
• Other essential household supplies
In addition to collecting donated items, Northwest Bank is contributing a combined $11,000 to support the three organizations’ immediate relief efforts. Ross Community Center will use the funding to help provide emergency sheltering support, including food and clothing. Reach Yorktown will use its contribution to assist with supply distributions throughout the community. The Panther Pantry will use the extra support to help the families of Southside Middle School, one of the areas hit hardest by the flood. An additional $1,000 donation will go to support the Yorktown Farmers and Artisan Market’s Double Up Program which helps make fresh produce more accessible to local families.
“Right now, it’s important that we come together to support our neighbors,” said Reed Levitz, district manager, Northwest Bank. “Many families are still working to recover from the devastating flooding, and we want them to know: we see you and we appreciate you.
Even small contributions can make a meaningful difference, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside local organizations and help connect community members who want to support those in need.”
