The win Saturday gave Ball State its first MIVA regular season title since 2024 – after they swept Loyola Chicago 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-16) in the regular season finale. The Cardinals will be back in action the Saturday (April 18) at Worthen Arena and will find out their opponent for the MIVA tournament quarterfinals in the coming days.
INDOT is holding a public information meeting tomorrow (April 14) to discuss a proposed roundabout at the intersection of U.S. 35 and Delaware County Road 300 South. The meeting at Inspire Academy will will begin at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30.

BWI has completed work on the Homecourt Apartments at the Wigwam and hopes to begin the application process this week. CEO Gary Hobbs told the “Anderson Journal” morning show the next step is a public-private partnership to turn Anderson’s historic gym into a civic center.
The Alexandria City Council has voted to raise water, storm water and waste water rates after tabling the issues three times. The Herald Bulletin says the plan is for incremental increases through 2030. A report by Baker Tilly in February determined the water utility needs $2 million per year to erase a 2025 shortfall reported to be more than $350,000.
Emerald Suites, the show choir group for Pendleton Heights High School, has won its second straight Indiana State School Music Association championship. The Herald Bulletin says two other Pendleton show choirs – New Edition and the Pendletones – finished fourth and second in their divisions, respectively.
Ball State’s Center for Professional Selling has been named among Sales Education Foundation’s Top Sales Programs for the 20th straight year. The national honor reflects the vast array of opportunities available at Ball State from internships to national collegiate sales competitions.
