Ball State’s Dr. Adam Kuban has received the Charles E. Scripps Award for Journalism Teacher of the Year during the 73rd Scripps Howard Journalism Awards ceremony. Kuban is the second Ball State professor to win the honor, joining Dr. Jennifer Palilonis – who won in 2012.
The Muncie Mission is asking you to take the $10,000 challenge and help multiply meals and care for neighbors in need. The $10,000 Matching Challenge has been offered by an unnamed friend of the Mission, allowing individual gifts to be doubled throughout the spring.
A Muncie woman faces additional criminal charges after a struggle over detergent in an Anderson parking lot. The Star Press says 39-year-old Ashley Monique Jackson is accused of stealing detergent from a Dollar General store on Scatterfield Road. Jackson faces 10 other criminal counts, including theft from a Marshall’s also on Scatterfield.
The NAMM Foundation has honored Muncie Community Schools with the Best Communities for Music Education Award. The BCME program has existed for 27 years and honors schools for exemplary dedication to music education.
