The Delaware County commissioners have suspended EMS director Mike Ashley for three days and EMA director John Coutinho indefinitely without pay. The Star Press says no reason was announced during Monday’s commissioners meeting, but the commissioners and their lawyer referred to an Indiana State Police investigation concerning internal theft by a county employee.
Ball State students participated in a unique fundraiser last week. The Star Press says members of the Sigma Nu fraternity and Phi Mu sorority, covered in protective trash bags, took whipped cream pies to the face to benefit the Animal Rescue Fund.

NTN Driveshaft is suing the Trump Administration over tariffs. The Herald Bulletin says NTN USA Corp. is seeking a full refund of all tariffs paid under the policy recently stuck down by the Supreme Court. NTN also announced this week it will close one of its Anderson production lines by 2028.

The Leadership Academy of Madison County will begin accepting applications for the Class of 2026 next month.
The Madison County Board of Zoning Appeals has granted a special use exemption to Randy Scott for a company that recycles drywall for agricultural use to continue operations in Madison County. But The Herald Bulletin says the exemption prohibits new raw material being brought to the site.
